Originally from Hampton Roads, Virginia, Attorney Katlyn Craig attended Christopher Newport University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Spanish. Before attending law school, Ms. Craig worked at a regional law enforcement training academy as an administrator, instructor, and registrar. During this time, Katlyn also became a certified self-defense instructor, and taught free courses to the local community. In recognition of her passion for law and the criminal justice system, Attorney Craig went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from Georgia State University College of Law in Atlanta, Georgia. While in law school, Ms. Craig was a Chair Member for the Public Interest Law Association and the Clinic Coordinator for the Veteran’s Legal Clinic at Georgia State University College of Law.
While still residing in Atlanta, Ms. Craig focused her practice on administrative and employment related disputes on behalf of public safety personnel, as well as general civil litigation following critical incidents involving public employees. Attorney Katlyn Craig was also the researcher and editor for several published books on responding to incidents involving public safety personnel.
Attorney Craig went on to work in human resources; first for an international car manufacturing company in Plano, Texas, and then for a public university in their Title IX and Equal Opportunity office in Newport News, Virginia. Ms. Craig is a certified Level One Investigator through the Association of Title IX Administrators and is an experienced Title IX Attorney.
Before joining Boeller Law, Ms. Craig was a Domestic Violence Attorney for Legal Services of North Florida. Attorney Craig is experienced in litigating family law cases involving domestic violence issues, and has extensive experience litigating domestic violence injunctions. Ms. Craig is a skilled and accomplished family law attorney who has also successfully completed training on complex asset discovery, including cryptocurrency.
In her free time, “Kate” puts her risk management and analysis skills to good use as a semi-professional poker player and certified poker dealer. Ms. Craig can rarely be found outside the office without her faithful, furry companion (and our law firm mascot), Emmitt. Ms. Craig enjoys sporting events, lazy beach days, country dancing, and is a self-proclaimed amateur chef.
