Mr. Downyok is our newest attorney but brings with him nearly eighteen years of experience in the practice of law.
After completing his undergraduate and legal studies in a short five years, Mr. Downyok began his career working for the State Attorney's Office in the Twentieth Circuit, where he prosecuted thousands of cases from minor crimes to homicides. He then went on to represent criminal defendants as well as clients in labor and employment and family law cases in public and private practice. He discovered his passion for family law working exclusively with survivors of domestic and sexual violence at a non-profit, advising clients of their legal rights and remedies as well as representing them under a federal grant for the past six years, helping them navigate sensitive and dangerous situations. Mr. Downyok has tried over a hundred cases, nearly fifty as first chair in front of a jury and has also worked as a trial and jury consultant. While he will be focusing exclusively on family law matters, Boeller Law is excited to offer Mr. Downyok's wide breadth of knowledge, compassion, and professionalism for the benefit of our clients.
Mr. Downyok hails from the Chicagoland area, is a graduate of Stetson University College of Law where he was a recipient of a merit scholarship, and is a fervent University of Michigan fan and alumni where he also received a merit scholarship. After his office hours striving to provide efficient, competent, effective representation with a personal touch to each of his clients, he is an avid outdoorsman, hiking and camping Florida's gorgeous State parks, getting out on the State's waters as often as possible to paddle, row, and fish, and spending time co-parenting his son and their dog "Nickels" while engaging in other numerous hobbies.
